Laminating Services

In addition to custom cutting, at Williams Foam, we offer laminating services to create a variety of custom trays, packaging, and returnable dunnage solutions. Either hot melt or cold glue adhesives can be used depending on the material properties and application. Foam can be laminated to other foam sheets to create packaging with 360° of foam protection. For maximum durability, foam inserts can be adhered to corrugated, plastic, or wood containers. Laminating makes durable, professional looking packaging that offers maximum protection by ensuring foam stays in place during shipping. Our team can also help customers engineer an ideal returnable dunnage or handling tray solution that outperforms and saves money over disposable containers.

Multiple foam types are available including polyurethane, polyethylene, and polystyrene varieties in a range of densities. Convoluted foam is also available. Convoluted foam is made of polyurethane and a very popular choice for protecting delicate items such as glass. Because it is already shaped and can accommodate a range of product sizes and thicknesses, it is a very economical option for customers who package multiple types of items. For more information about our foam lamination capability, see the table below, or contact us directly.
